Stereogram

I recently discovered the MagicEye sub on Reddit. I used to love these hidden 3D images back in the 80’s, and even made my own towards the end of the 90s, so I dug it up to share on the sub. People seemed to really like my stereogram shape, but not so much the pattern, so I thought I would try to recreate a modern version. I would love some help deciding which pattern looks best!

Oh, and a few people asked about how to make stereograms. I used the Easy Stereogram Builder website, but there are several online generators that you can use. The tricky part is designing an image that will parse correctly as a 3D image. The basic idea is to create a grayscale image, where the areas closest to the viewer are lighter colored, and those farther away are darker. This means you want a black background, as the back of the image should be farthest from the viewer and therefore the darkest color. You can see my grayscale image at the bottom of this page to get an idea of what that looks like.
